A historic manned launch — Go Falcon 9! Go SpaceX, and Go Elon!
May 30th, 2020 is a special day because it is the day that SpaceX became the 1st ever commercial company sent human to the orbit!
Big congrats to NASA, SpaceX and Elon!!! It took a village(More than 100,000 staff involved in this historic launch per Elon’s post-launch chocked-up emotional speech).
A unique technology that SpaceX is the ONLY entity dared to dream and achieved is the reusable rocket(1st stage rocket) and it’s beautiful to watch its landing on a 10meter drone ship, while behind that scene, there are lots of hard work(Design, calculation, try and error) done in couple of years.
And he consistently applied his minimalist design mindset across all his business, like the touch screen in Tesla and Dragon capsule:
While I do believe that there are super power or super luck behind any super hero — Elon Musk is not an exception. He definitely holds all the capabilities, characters that needed for a superhero like perseverance(never-give-up), extreme high level of intellectual curiosity, don’t give a damn to what others think about him, super learning capability, charismatic leadership etc. While for SpaceX, he could not achieve it without below following winds where he had no control at all:
- US Gov decided to stop the famous and super costly space shuttle program and open the rocket launching business to private sectors
- NASA’s deal of $1.5B just a moment before SpaceX was running out of money after 3 failed launch and the 1st successful one with Falcon 9.
Here is my suggestion for you — Work for Elon if you could, or bet on him means buy bond or stock of the companies ran by him as a long term(5+ years) investor. To me, Elon’s legend is just started like when Steve Jobs returned back to Apple in 1997.
