A simple and great example of a successful business known as a daily brand— Ahmad Tea!
I am a heavy tea-drinker. Don’t remember the last day tea-free:) I mean it. Today’s thought triggered by my tea-loving, ended to the inspiration of a great family owned business which built a world class tea brand — Ahmad Tea!
It was such an amazing feeling when I read through the history of Ahmad Tea as a family business from their website! It was simply started by the founder (Mr. Rahim Afshar) and his brothers to produce high quality tea at an affordable price in 1986.
And through their 35 years journey so far, the company has grown up to a multinational enterprise with a highly respected brand and reputation! And yet they did not follow the golden route for lots of internationally successful company — go public, they remain as a family business till today.
I actually got to know this brand from early this year, and after trying both their Green Tea and iconic Earl Grey Tea, I felt in love with this brand.
Every time I was impressed by a product, I always want to know more about the company and ultimately the people behind brand. So went thru the web to do my own research. It simply confirmed my thought, great founder, great perseverance and long journey of effort and hard work created today’s Ahmad Tea!

Last, for your knowledge, there are 6 major types of tea as below, I love all of them, while my top recommendation for now is Oolong tea(esp. the Oolong made in Anxi area in Fujian province in southern China).
My learning from this inspirational story of Ahmad Tea — Every great business started from scratch, one or couple of people with their hard work powered by passion and commitment!
